Merry Christmas from the CRC!!! 2018 was a big year for the CRC! We celebrated our 50th Anniversary, recovered from Hurricane Harvey, and had a new Director join our staff. Of course, we continued hosting groups for their retreats—96 to be exact as well as the CRC had 31 events/retreats. So what do those numbers really mean? It means about 6,000 people were directly impacted by our retreat ministry and those impacted indirectly (spouses, children, friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc) are a far greater number. Thank you for being part of our ministry and helping to draw others into a relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church through your support of the CRC. If you are looking to make an end of the year donation, the CRC would be grateful for your gift. All funds donated go towards the maintenance and facilities of our buildings and grounds. With your help we are remodeling rooms, replacing roofs, improving drainage, replacing siding, and so much more. Donate Online: www.retreatcentercrc.org Donate by Mail: CRC Retreat Partners, Inc. Dear Santa We have been very good this year and we have helped 6,000 people draw closer to Jesus through our retreat ministry (we know, we're not a Saint like you). For Christmas this year, we are wanting 10 people to commit to us by becoming one of our Monthly Caring Angel Donors. Can you help us out? $10 a month? $25 a month? $50 a month? The income from all our donations goes directly back to taking care of our facilities and grounds. Donors can donate online at www.retreatcentercrc.org or by mailing in their monthly checks to us at CRC, PO Box 699, Dickinson, Texas 77539. Thanks, CRC Staff
The first Annual Women's Advent Prayer Breakfast was a success with 80 women attending from area parishes! Here's what some of the attendees shared on facebook, "It was a very nice event! Our Advent Angels loved it! Very inspirational!" "It was a fantastic morning!" "Great morning at the CRC." "Had a wonderful time, Kim is a fantastic speaker."
The 1st Annual Marian Celebration was a success with 90 people in attendance. The evening began with Marian songs played and sung by Lisa, followed by a bilingual rosary led by Erick and Sarah, then groups went to hear talks by Dunn Esatcio and Sister Sandra. Next, Sally gave a talk on the Matachines ritual dance and then the Matachines from Texas City danced. The dancers then led the candlelit procession to the Madonna Statue for Marian songs and the evening concluded with tamales, desserts, and hot coco!
Join the CRC every Tuesday (starting December 4) at 11AM to pray the rosary for all the retreats, teams, and retreatants that will be coming to the CRC that week. We will meet at the Chapel and on good weather days walk around the property praying the rosary. Join us as often as you can!
